Forecasters believe a tropical storm is likely to form over the northern Gulf of Mexico later today (Wednesday July 10th) or tomorrow (Thursday July 11th).
The Crisis Management Team (CMT) is monitoring the situation and is actively involved in mitigation measures in advance of the potential severe weather.
